For my sophomore year manufacturing class, me and a group of fellow engineers created a tripod with a universal camera screw and an adjustable phone-clip.
1 - Design
The tripod utilizes a three-leg design with a 1/4"-20 UNC threaded universal camera screw and an attachable iPhone mount in order to allow for maximum camera compatibility.
2 - Manufacturing
Using a milling machine, lathe, and CNC machine, the tripod base, legs, and clamp was machined with high quality aluminum and delrin.
3 - Final Presentation
For the in-class portion of the manufacturing project, a final presentation on the design process for the tripod was given.
